Third time is surely a charm for Ryan Phillippe who welcomed his third child on July 1. The baby girl is the first for Phillippe and ex-girlfriend, Alexis Knapp, but the third for the actor who shares two children -- Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7 -- with ex-wife, Reese Witherspoon. According to In Touch, although they are no longer a couple, Phillippe was in the delivery room with Knapp when she delivered their nearly eight pound baby girl, Kai, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
But due to the couple's post-breakup surprise pregnancy, Phillippe is not 100% certain he is the baby's biological father and until recently had not taken any DNA tests. Phillippe is currently waiting on the results of the paternity test but has already taken on a fatherly role to the newborn.
We applaud Phillippe for stepping up to the plate whether or not Kai is his biological daughter.
