Sure, licensed canon-bending spinoff books have sold well, and video games will be forever popular, but when it comes to updates to the saga, big screen or small, the Jedi Council of fanatics have not been pleased. The prequel trilogy was a bit of a dud -- especially that first film with Jar Jar Binks and little Anakin -- and TV cartoons aren't exactly satiating the hunger for more "Star Wars" greatness.
This new update, however, may just put the light back in fans' sabers, so to speak.
The complete saga, packed with remastered footage and extras galore, is finally being put together on Blu-Ray, and amongst the goodies is a series of deleted scenes from the original three movies. Yes, unseen moments with Luke, Leia, Han, Obi Wan and Vader. To get you salivating, here's a sizzle reel of some of those moments.
No word yet if those scenes will make it into the upcoming 3D theater release, or how they play in to the planned movie-bridging TV show.

Still do. Everything else has insulted those classic movies. Jar Jar was the least of the molestations that destroyed the mythology. Anakin being a chronically whiny Hayden C. was far more disheartening. As was all the corny childishly contrived garbage dished out in the course of the story: that Darth Vader build C3PO, bringing in the Bounty Hunter, the whole "Anakin Christ"being some kind of messiah nonsense...A franchize that started off being something so unique has become something tired and repetitive. All the video games feature the same "Jedi turned to Sith" nonsense. Same general design, same clothing, same conflicts. They even managed to turn the lightsaber into something painfully boring.
