Facebook is about to get the Oprah effect.
Oprah Winfrey, the media mogul who is one of the most influential women in the world, will pay a visit to Facebook next week for a live-streamed video interview. She apparently will also make an appearance at one of Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg's exclusive dinner events for women.
Winfrey has nearly 6.3 million fans on Facebook. Facebook is soliciting questions for the live interview, which starts at 1:30 p.m. Pacific time on Thursday, Sept. 8.
Winfrey adds her name to the prominent guests at Facebook headquarters, including President Barack Obama and President George W. Bush.
